The Juniata County School District will continue remote learning until December 1st. The decision was made due the county’s increase in COVID-19 cases. Juniata County currently has the highest percent positivity in the state at 21.1 percent. The school district currently has twenty-five staff members, and over one hundred and fifty students in quarantine or isolation.
The Mifflin County School District is into the second week of full remote learning. As of yesterday morning, there were 10 active positive COVID-19 cases in the school district. The COVID-19 Dashboard has up-to-date information regarding cases within the district.

The Pennsylvania House State Government Committee, led by newly appointed interim Chairman Seth Grove (R-York), will soon launch a series of hearings into the process undertaken in Pennsylvania’s 2020 election. Legislators say actions by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the Department of State leading up to the election created confusion for voters, poll workers and county elections officials, resulting in countless complaints. The hearings will investigate what transpired to develop a comprehensive legislative fix to ensure faith in future elections.
