The Steelers moved to 9-0 with yesterday’s 36-10 win over Cincinnati. That win, combined with New England’s 23-17 upset of Baltimore puts Pittsburgh three games and head-to-head tiebreakers up in the AFC North.

The NFC East, meanwhile, is still a mess and still up for grabs. The Eagles still lead the division despite losing to New York yesterday, 27-17. Philadelphia is 3-5-1. The rest of the division has seven losses each.

Greenwood is into the state field hockey semifinals with Saturday’s 10-0 win over Lansdale Catholic. Abby Taylor scored four times for the Wildcats, who move on to play Shady Side Academy tomorrow at five.

The Belleville Mennonite boys soccer team, meanwhile, saw its season come to an end with a 4-0 loss to Brockway in the state quarterfinals.

Penn State is 0-4 for just the second time in school history. Nebraska beat the Lions on Saturday, 30-23. PSU will try and get that elusive first win of the year on Saturday when 2-2 Iowa comes to town.

Legendary Dodgers’ manager Tommy Lasorda is hospitalized in the ICU but no word on why. The 93-year-old was the last Dodgers’ skipper to lead the club to a World Series title until Dave Roberts did the trick last month, ending a 32-year drought.

And Dustin Johnson won the Masters by seven strokes, setting a new tournament record at -20 par. Defending champ Tiger Woods wasn’t a threat this year, shooting +4 over the four day tourney.
