Authorities in Dauphin County are investigating an armed robbery. State Police at Lykens say an unknown man knocked on the door of Standing Stone Egg Farm in Wayne Township at about 8:15 pm Friday. When the victim answered the door, the man pointed a handgun and demanded money. The suspect made off with between $400 and $600 in cash and fled the scene in a silver or white sedan. He is described as a white male between 30 and 35 years old with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a yellow t-shirt and khaki cargo shorts. A Lewistown man was arrested for driving a stolen vehicle. Borough Police stopped the vehicle just after 4:00 pm on November 2nd on Library Drive for multiple violations. Officers discovered the auto had been stolen in Harrisburg. They charged 43-year-old Christopher Land with receiving stolen property and driving with a suspended license.
The refuse and recycling schedule in the Borough of Lewistown will be revised this week for Veterans Day. The Wednesday (November 11th) route will be picked up one day later on Thursday. All other days remain the same. Wednesday’s recycling customers should hold materials until the next scheduled day on November 25th.
