In Harrisburg, the Judicial Conduct Board has filed a petition against a Perry County judge. The board is seeking an interim order directing the suspension without pay of Perry County Magisterial District Judge Michael E. Schechterly, pending final disposition of his criminal charges. The Board took the action in the Court of Judicial Discipline after the Office of Attorney General charged Schechterly with a felony and two misdemeanor criminal offenses on Monday.
Geisinger has surpassed its 1,000th Mako robotic-assisted surgery since the introduction of the technology to Geisinger hospitals less than three years ago. PennDOT will host a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate the near completion of the Route 322 – Potters Mills project in Centre County. The ceremony is Monday at 10:00 am just off Route 2015 (old Route 322) near the new roundabout in Potters Mills.
