Brianna Henry scored both of the East Juniata goals as the Tigers’ soccer team nipped Millersburg yesterday, 2-1. Palmyra, meanwhile, shut out the Mifflin County girls, 4-0. Also yesterday, Upper Dauphin blanked the Juniata volleyball team, 3-0.

Penn State’s head men’s basketball coach Patrick Chambers has resigned after nine years at the helm of the Lions’ program. Chambers was the target of an internal investigation into inappropriate conduct. PSU assistant Jim Ferry takes over as interim head coach.

Another week of NFL action kicks off tonight when the Eagles host the New York Giants. Both teams enter with just a single win on the season, although Philly also has a tie on its record. The Steelers, meanwhile, are in Tennessee on Sunday in a matchup of unbeatens.
