Juniata’s Emily Houtz and Kierstyn Fogle placed one-two, respectively, at yesterday’s cross country quad meet with Halifax, Lancaster Country Christian and Anchor Christian. Indian senior James Hazard won the boy’s race with Juniata taking four of the top five spots.

Amelia Smith scored Juniata’s first two goals as the Indians went on to a 4-3 victory over Susquenita. Line Mountain, meanwhile, nipped the East Juniata field hockey team, 3-2, despite goals from EJ’s Kaylyn Walters and Karah Goss. And Juniata’s volleyball team shut out Midd-West, 3-0, thanks in part to an 11-ace effort from Jasmine Hockenberry.

The Dodgers scored a postseason record 11 first inning runs, cruising to a 15-3 win in Game Three of their National League Championship Series with Atlanta. The Braves still lead the best-of-seven, two games to one. Houston, meanwhile, stayed alive in the American League with a 4-3 victory over Tampa. The Rays are up three games to one.

And Alabama head coach Nick Saban has tested positive for COVID-19. Saban is quarantining at home. The second-ranked Crimson Tide play #3 Georgia on Saturday night.
