Juniata’s offense exploded for a dozen goals in a 12-1 win over Line Mountain. Will Saner scored three times for the Indians, with Brian Marshall, Kadyn Kuhn, Stuart Dare, Bryce Rush scoring twice each. Ben Wagner also found the back of the net for Juniata.

Shamokin shut out the East Juniata volleyball team, 3-0. Upper Dauphin blanked Juniata  by the same score. Twelve digs and a pair of kills for Jordan Hockenberry in defeat for the Indians.  Also yesterday, Muncy defeated the EJ field hockey team, 5-3, with Karah Goss scoring two of the Tiger goals. Kaylyn Walters scored the other.

Houston is on the brink of being swept right out of the American League playoffs. Tampa leads the best-of-seven three games to none with last night’s 5-2 victory. The Dodgers, meanwhile, face a similar crisis, trailing two to none in the National League after last night’s ninth inning rally fell short, leaving Atlanta with an 8-7 win.

And Tennessee and Buffalo were both unbeaten going into last night’s Week Five finale in the NFL but it’s the Titans who walk away with a 4-0 record, thanks to a 42-16 spanking of the Bills last night.
