A Centre County crash Monday afternoon has claimed the life of a 57-year-old woman. Authorities say two vehicles collided head-on just before 3:00 pm on Route 322 in Potter Township. One driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The other reported no injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.

Authorities in Lewistown have filed charges after a Mount Joy man provided false identification to law enforcement. On October 10th, Lewistown Police investigated a theft report on South Grand Street. The accused was identified as 20-year-old Conner Houser. Police spoke to Houser, who provided a false name and date of birth. When his correct ID was discovered, Houser had active arrest warrants in Lancaster County. He was also found in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Houser was placed in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility on several charges.
A new bridge on Route 35 in Juniata County is expected to open today. The bridge spanning a tributary of Willow Run southwest of Cross Keys is expected to open around noon. The Willow Run bridge was closed in mid-August. Once the new bridge is open, the detour will be removed.
