Coach Jeff Miller took a group of Juniata Valley Striders to the Northeast Region Footlocker meet at VanCortland Park in New York City and had some outstanding results. Brayden Harris running in the seeded Championship Race almost made the all expense trip to San Diego, California, finishing 12th in a personal record of 15:46. He was the top underclassman to finish the prestigious race.

Many expected the Philadelphia Flyers to shake things up after an embarrassing loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night. Few expected the shake-up to be this monumental: Ron Hextall, the team’s executive vice president and general manager, was fired on Monday. The Flyers are 10-11-2 on the season. They sit four points out of the final playoff seed in the Metro Division and five points out of the wild card.

Deshaun Watson threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Texans set a franchise record with their eighth straight victory, 34-17 over the Tennessee Titans.
