Josh Bell continues to provide power for the Pirates. The first baseman ripped a two-run home run in the fourth inning and a go-ahead double in the eighth inning in last night’s 6-3 victory over the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Montana DuRapau struck Dale Burdick out with the bases loaded to end the game, leading the Altoona Curve to a 6-5 win over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies.

Luigi Rodriguez hit a three-run home run in the top of the 10th inning yesterday. The Akron RubberDucks beating the Harrisburg Senators, 4-1.

Brandon Benson hit a grand slam in the ninth inning, leading the State College Spikes to a 9-0 win over the Williamsport Crosscutters.

Port Royal Speedway cancelled last night’s race due to rain. It’s Pennsylvania Speedweek for the Weikert’s Livestock 410 sprint cars. Racing action resumes tomorrow night with not only Speedweek sprint cars but also the River Valley Builders Super Late Models.
