The Phillies have reached agreement with star pitcher Aaron Nola on a four-year contract that will keep Nola in the City of Brotherly Love through 2022. The club also has an option for 2023. Nola was 17-6 last year with a 2.37 ERA. He averaged more than a strikeout per inning.

A night after losing to Boston by three, the 76er’s won in New York by 15. Philly 126, Knicks 111.

Sixers’ center Joel Embiid, by the way, was fined $25,000 by the NBA for public criticism of the officials following that loss to the Celtics.
