Mifflin County’s Jared King went three for three with four runs batted in to help lead the Huskies past Central Dauphin, 9-3. Isaac Matthews went the distance to earn the win on the mound.

East Juniata’s baseball team won yesterday. Tigers 17, Juniata Indians 5.

Mifflin County’s girls track & field team beat Harrisburg, 125-25, but fell to Carlisle, 99-51. Skylar Ciccolini broke her own school record for the Huskies in the javelin. She also topped her own school record in the high jump. Taylor Ciccolini, meanwhile, broke the Mifflin County high record for the pole vault.

Also yesterday, the Husky boys beat Harrisburg, 87-59, but lost to Carlisle, 90-60.Brock Sinkus and Chayce Macknair with a pair of individual wins each for Mifflin County.

Greenwood’s track & field teams each earned a win over Camp Hill. The Wildcats boys won, 94-56, the girls by a 115-35 count.

The Pirates are 9-3 after beating the Cubbies yesterday, 6-1. The Bucs will take on the Marlins in Miami this weekend. The Phillies, who were off yesterday, are in Tampa.

Huntingdon’s boys volleyball team got back in the win column to improve to 4-1. Bearcats over Central yesterday, 3-0.

And this weekend is a busy one. The Penguins and Flyers play Game Two of their first round NHL playoff series tonight before playing Game Three in the best of seven on Sunday. Tomorrow,, the Sixers begin their postseason with a game against visiting Miami. Also, NASCAR’s Sprint Cup drivers are in Bristol for the Food City 500.
