Several vehicles were burglarized earlier this week in Mifflin County.  Regional Police say cars were entered in the Park View, Orchard Grove, and Dry Valley areas of Burnham and Derry Township on Monday.  A surveillance video has been uploaded to the Regional Police Facebook page.  Anyone who can identify the suspect or the dark-colored coupe in the video is asked to call the Mifflin County Communications Center at 717-248-9607.   Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables.  Personal identification should be kept with you or inside your home.

A chilly winter is in store for the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, especially when compared to last year, with January threatening to bring the coldest air of the season.  According to AccuWeather in State College, for most of both regions, this will translate to an above-normal snow season.  AccuWeather Long-Range Forecaster Paul Pastelok says areas away from the I-95 corridor have a better chance at a big snowfall.  Pastelok says areas prone to lake-effect snow will also see high totals.  AccuWeather predicts January temperatures will be below last year’s average, but we could see a mild December and above-normal temperatures in February.
