Habitat for Humanity of Mifflin County is a nonprofit housing ministry that partners with low income families and individuals to eliminate substandard housing by building and selling homes to low income families and individuals at no interest and for no profit.
They are holding Information Sessions on March 22 at 6PM and April 1 at 9AM in the Mifflin County Library Community Room. The information sessions are for those people who are potential homeowners who may have questions. They may be wondering if they qualify, want to know what sweat equity is or have an application but need assistance completing it, or wonder what goes into building a home. The Habitat for Humanity of Mifflin County has the potential to build houses in 2018 and 2019 and would like to have families lined up for those as well. A short presentation will be given and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions. The public is welcome to attend.
